Codebreaker is a daily deduction game: discover a hidden five-digit code by testing guesses and reading the clue attached to each position. If you know Mastermind, the code-breaking loop will feel familiar: exact-position and misplaced-digit clues narrow down the answer after every guess. Codebreaker uses digits, and its code may begin with zero, so enter all five digits exactly as shown.
How to Play
Enter digits with the on-screen keypad or your keyboard. Use the arrow keys to move between positions, Backspace to erase a digit, and Enter to submit a complete guess. The curved-arrow button clears the whole row. You can also click a position on the active row before entering a digit.
After each guess, every position gets one of three clues. Green means the digit is correct and in the right position. Amber means the digit is in the secret code but belongs elsewhere. Gray means it is absent, or that another copy of that digit in your guess has already matched the only available copy in the secret code.
Six Levels, One Daily Run
Solve a level to unlock the next one. The first three levels require five different digits; in the final three, digits may repeat. You have eight guesses in levels 1 and 4, seven in levels 2 and 5, and six in levels 3 and 6. Choosing an earlier unlocked level lets you continue its current puzzle.
A level is solved when all five clues are green. If its guesses run out, the daily run ends. The challenge changes at midnight in Europe/Berlin time. Your progress and the secret code are managed by the game service; a connection is required to load the daily challenge and submit guesses.
Reading the Clues
A clue belongs to its own slot, so compare the colors across the whole row rather than treating them as a score alone. In levels that allow repeated digits, repeated guesses are useful when testing whether the code contains duplicates. In the unique-digit levels, the keypad prevents entering the same digit twice.
